
Genna Barr
Executive Director
Genna joins Tioga County CASA after spending 4 years at Service, Access and Management, Inc. Previous roles there included Visitation Aide for Children & Youth and Base Service Unit Case Manager for the mental health department. During her tenure at SAM, Inc., she supervised visits with foster children and then took a promotion to work in administrative case management, which included intakes, funding management, and crisis response. This position required building relationships with all local mental health providers, the hospital, and most importantly, Tioga County residents who were seeking mental health assistance for themselves or their loved ones.
Genna received a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts, with focuses in social work, sociology and psychology from Mansfield University in 2020 and has been working within the local human services system since 2018. Genna is also obtaining a Master’s in Human Services degree in 2022 from Bellevue University, which is a program that focuses on all of the skills needed to open, run and maintain a nonprofit organization.
In her free time, Genna enjoys spending time with her 7 pets, traveling home to Cameron County to see her family, and taking road trips with her husband, Zac.
